Hoost Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 5, 2026

These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) apply to all Users of the Hoost Platform, including Customers, Venues, and Vendors (collectively, “Partners”). These Guidelines are incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.

Hoost reserves the right to update these Guidelines at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification.

For Partners (Venues & Vendors)

Accurate Representation

  • Accurately represent the nature, condition, capacity, pricing, and availability of your spaces or services
  • All photos must reflect the current state of your venue or equipment
  • Do not list prices below your intended charge. All mandatory costs must be included in your listing price or clearly disclosed as add-ons before quote acceptance
  • Do not misrepresent capacity, amenities, or capabilities

Legitimate Listings Only

  • Only list venues you own or have explicit authorization to list on Hoost
  • Only offer services you are licensed and insured to provide
  • Do not list spaces or services that violate local zoning, permitting, or licensing requirements
  • Vendors must maintain all professional certifications relevant to their services

Event-Ready Standard

Venues must be prepared for every confirmed event:

  • Clean, safe, and in the condition represented in the listing
  • Basic amenities available: restroom access, climate control (where applicable), adequate lighting
  • All listed amenities included in the accepted quote price
  • Access provided at the confirmed event time. No late openings or early closures

Compliance & Licensing

  • Maintain all required local permits, licenses, and insurance (see Terms of Service § 3)
  • Follow local noise ordinances, occupancy limits, and safety codes
  • Venues serving or permitting alcohol must hold valid liquor licenses
  • Immediately notify Hoost of any license suspensions, revocations, or compliance issues

Good Neighbor Practices

  • Notify neighbors of your listing activity where appropriate
  • Maintain contact availability during Events at your venue
  • Ensure adequate legal parking or clearly communicate parking limitations
  • Address noise, trash, and disruption concerns promptly
  • Comply with HOA rules, building management policies, and community agreements

Pricing Integrity

  • Pricing on Hoost must be consistent with your pricing on other platforms and your own website
  • Do not inflate Hoost prices to offset Platform fees. This undermines trust and violates the spirit of our marketplace

Professional Standards

  • Respond to Customer inquiries within 24 hours
  • Honor all confirmed events except in genuine force majeure situations
  • Communicate any changes to availability, pricing, or services promptly
  • Treat all Customers with respect and professionalism regardless of event type or size

For Customers

Respectful Use

  • Use venues and vendor services as described and agreed upon at booking
  • Be honest about your event type, expected attendance, and planned activities. Misrepresentation puts everyone at risk
  • Do not exceed the confirmed guest count without prior Partner approval

Event Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for your event’s planning, execution, and compliance (see Terms of Service § 3(e))
  • Obtain all required permits and approvals before your event
  • Ensure your attendees, staff, and contractors comply with venue rules
  • You are liable for any property damage caused by you or your guests

Property Care

  • Do not remove, damage, or misuse venue property or vendor equipment
  • Report any pre-existing damage to the Partner before your event begins
  • Do not access restricted areas of a venue without explicit permission
  • Do not overstay your booking window without prior approval and additional payment

No Hazardous Materials

  • Do not store, transport, or bring hazardous materials to any venue unless explicitly disclosed and approved by the Partner at booking
  • Pyrotechnics, open flames, fog machines, and similar equipment require explicit Partner approval and appropriate permits

  • Do not create multiple accounts, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity

  • If someone asks you to transact off-platform, decline and report it to team@hoost.it

Enforcement

How We Enforce

Hoost applies the same rules to every User. Enforcement responses are graduated based on violation severity and account history, not on who you are, but on what happened and whether it’s happened before.

Enforcement Ladder

  1. Education & Warning: First-time or minor violations receive a written warning with clear guidance on what went wrong and how to comply
  2. Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations may result in temporary account suspension (typically 7-30 days), with listing removal during the suspension period
  3. Permanent Removal: Serious violations, patterns of misconduct, or safety threats result in permanent account removal and forfeiture of any pending payouts

Severe violations (discrimination, illegal activity, safety threats) may skip directly to permanent removal.

Trust-Aware Enforcement

Hoost considers your account history and trust signals when determining the appropriate enforcement response:

  • New accounts (under 90 days or fewer than 3 completed events) receive educational guidance alongside warnings for first-time minor violations. However, new accounts engaging in circumvention, fraud, or safety violations face the same immediate consequences as any other account.
  • Established accounts (strong event history, verified identity, positive reviews) may receive a courtesy notice before formal enforcement for ambiguous situations, but clear violations are enforced regardless of account standing.
  • Accounts with prior violations face accelerated enforcement. A second warning-level offense may result in immediate suspension rather than another warning.

Trust history is a factor in enforcement, not a shield from it. No tier, badge, or tenure exempts any User from these Guidelines.

Reporting Violations

  • Report violations to team@hoost.it or through the in-app reporting feature
  • Include as much detail as possible: dates, screenshots, descriptions
  • Reports are investigated by Hoost’s Trust & Safety team
  • Reporter identity is kept confidential where possible

Appeals

If your account is suspended or removed, you may appeal by contacting team@hoost.it within 14 days. Include:

  • Your account details
  • The violation you were cited for
  • Your explanation or evidence

Appeals are reviewed within 10 business days. Hoost’s final determination is binding.

Emergencies

If you are in immediate danger at any Event, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number first. Then notify Hoost at team@hoost.it.

By using the Hoost Platform, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines. Together, we build a marketplace where every event is a great experience for everyone involved.
